How we source it

How Offshore handles airlaid & non-woven products

  • Substrate, basis weight, sheet size and folding style are confirmed on a spec sheet before Offshore requests factory quotes.

  • You approve a sample roll or pack before production begins.

  • Offshore audits the factory and reviews a pre-production sample against your spec.

  • In-process and pre-shipment inspection uses AQL sampling to check basis weight, sheet size and folding accuracy.

  • Offshore prepares the full import documentation, including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, ISF and HTS classification, and manages customs entry through a licensed broker.

  • You manage the substrate spec, the factory relationship, the inspection and the paperwork through one Offshore contact, rather than coordinating a separate forwarder and overseas supplier.

Questions

Common questions

What is the difference between spunlace and airlaid wipers?

Spunlace wipers are made by hydroentangling fibers into a strong, cloth-like sheet, which holds up well to repeated wiping. Airlaid wipers are bulkier and built for high absorbency in a single use. The right choice depends on whether the application needs durability or liquid pickup.

Can wipers be sourced in custom colors or sizes?

Yes, color and sheet size can be set per order depending on the factory's capability and the substrate chosen. These details should be part of your initial spec so Offshore can quote accurately.

How is wiper quality checked before shipment?

A sample is approved before production, then Offshore inspects in-process and pre-shipment using AQL sampling. This checks basis weight, sheet size and folding against the agreed spec.

What information should I include in a wiper request for quote?

Include the substrate, basis weight, sheet size, format, color, fiber blend, case pack and destination port. This lets Offshore identify the right factory and return an accurate quote.

What are DRC wipers used for?

DRC, or double re-creped, wipers are built for durability and repeat use, which is why they show up often in industrial wipers wholesale programs where a wiper gets reused during a shift. Offshore sources DRC alongside spunlace, airlaid and meltblown substrates depending on the application.
